About RedSquibble

RedSquibble exists for one reason. Most first books disappear within a few months of publication, not because they are bad, but because nobody told readers they were there. We cover debut and emerging authors with the same seriousness other publications give to famous ones.

We publish profiles, interviews, reviews and first chapters. We run The RedSquibble Podcast and name an annual Debut Shortlist. We cover every genre, and we cover books from large houses, small presses and authors who published on their own.

Editorial Standards

Our editors choose every book we cover and write every word we publish. Authors and publicists may check an article for factual accuracy before it runs, but headlines, framing and judgment stay with RedSquibble.

Some features are produced in partnership with an author's publicist or publisher. Those articles carry a clear note at the end saying so. Partnership never guarantees a positive review, and it never buys a place on the Debut Shortlist.

We correct mistakes quickly and say what we changed. If you see an error, write to us using the form below and choose Correction.

Submissions

We welcome review copies and pitches from publishers, publicists and authors. We read everything we receive, although we cannot reply to every pitch.

• We cover debut and second books in every genre, including self-published titles.
• Send finished copies or digital galleys three to four months before publication when you can.
• Include the publication date, a short description, the author's location and any upcoming events.
• Interview and podcast requests are best sent six weeks ahead of a launch.
